Big Ass Fans Helps Fund Cancer Center

LEXINGTON, KY – Big Ass Fans announced it has raised $25,000 for a new, state-of-the-art cancer treatment suite at University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. The company last month began donating 5% of all sales in the state of Kentucky until $25,000 was reached. BOULDER, CO - Dedicated to improving school meals, three top school food nutrition foundations have teamed up to provide $600,000 in support to five school districts across the nation through the School Food Support Initiative. Launched by the Life Time Foundation, in partnership with the Chef Ann Foundation and the Whole Kids Foundation, the School Food Support Initiative is seeking five motivated school districts that want to establish healthier meal programs and want the guidance and support to truly improve the health of children in their communities. Power Systems Celebrates 10th Year Of Giving To Local Charity, KARM

KNOXVILLE, TN - Over the past 10 years, Power Systems has held annual collection drives for employees to donate to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM). During the month of June, Power Systems employees donated personal hygiene products to be donated to KARM. Employees were challenged to bring in at least one of the items on the list. Such items included, shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, baby diapers, wipes and toilet paper. All of the donated items were delivered to KARM earlier this month. Read More...

RICHMOND, VA - The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Richmond Chapter recently received a $31,710 donation from ACAC Fitness and Wellness Center as a result of their March 30 Days for $30 campaign. The campaign, which ran at ACAC’s Midltohian and Short Pump locations, provided individuals a 30-day membership for just $30 with 100% of funds being donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Power Systems Flexes Their Muscles For Local Habitat For Humanity

KNOXVILLE, TN - Earlier this month, Power Systems employees joined several members of the Knoxville community to help Habitat for Humanity with their 2015 Blitz Build, building six houses in just seven days. The Power Systems team helped on two days of the build. Day one began with the foundation of the house, and ended with putting up the walls and getting the roof trusses put into place.
