American College of Sports Medicine and Polar Team Up to Create New Heart Rate Monitoring & Assessment Course

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and Polar, a leader in wearable sports and fitness technology, announced the launch of a new heart rate monitoring and assessment course. The 3-hour course, designed for fitness professionals and heart rate monitor users, provides a foundational knowledge of the physiology of heart rate, including how to perform maximal and sub-maximal VO2 field testing and how to build an effective heart rate-based training program.
