VENICE, CA – Indoor cycling leader Spinning has announced the launch of a new belt-driven system, working with bike manufacturer Star Trac. The unique Fusion Drive system utilizes an ultra-durable Poly-V Isoprene belt, a tensioning system, as well as a real road feel of a perimeter-weighted flywheel. The system works to transfer more direct cranking energy without the slippage that exercisers can find with other belt-driven methods.
John Cook, vice president of the design, says: ‘The heart of our innovation is always anchored in our rider and owner experience, and Fusion Drive is the only system that is smooth and quiet with a truly superior natural ride compared to other belt bikes. For our 35,000 facilities, Fusion Drive not only offers the world’s best inertia-driven belt drive option, but also has the benefit of being a very low-maintenance system.’
Available on several commercial bike models including the Spinner Blade ION, the Spinner Blade, and the Spinner NXT Black Belt, find out more at www.startrac.com.
