Precor Adds Queenax Modular Functional Training to Comprehensive Product Portfolio

WOODINVILLE, WA - Precor, a leading provider of personalized fitness solutions, announced the integration of leading functional training systems provider Queenax into its range of offerings. Precor parent company Amer Sports acquired Queenax, which will operate within the Amer Sports Fitness Division under the Precor brand. The acquisition enhances the Precor fitness platform, which includes traditional strength, cardio and networked fitness offerings. Planet Fitness To Raise $216 Million With Initial Public Offering

NEWINGTON, N.H. - Planet Fitness has begun its initial public offering. The Newington, New Hampshire-based workout center chain announced 13,500,000 shares of its Class A common stock Monday. The company says underwriters will have a 30-day option to buy up to an additional 2,025,000 shares. The price range for the IPO is estimated to be between $14 and $16 per share, which would raise $216 million. Read More...

A special Memorial Service was held for industry giant Curt Beusman on July 12 at 3:00PM at the Saw Mill River Club in Mount Kisco, New York. The Beusman family and IHRSA used the occasion to announce the launch of the Curt & Jane Beusman Institute Scholarship in honor of their memory and lasting impact on the health club industry. Power Systems Celebrates 10th Year Of Giving To Local Charity, KARM

KNOXVILLE, TN - Over the past 10 years, Power Systems has held annual collection drives for employees to donate to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM). During the month of June, Power Systems employees donated personal hygiene products to be donated to KARM. Employees were challenged to bring in at least one of the items on the list. Such items included, shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, baby diapers, wipes and toilet paper. All of the donated items were delivered to KARM earlier this month. Read More...
