GoodLife Fitness Gives Calgary a ‘Prescription to Get Active’

CALGARY, AB – GoodLife Fitness locations in Calgary, Alberta have joined the Prescription to Get Active program to encourage more people to get moving. Developed by family doctors from the Primary Care Networks (PCNs), the program encourages sedentary patients who are at risk of developing chronic diseases to be more active by giving them a doctor-prescribed prescription for physical activity. As part of the program, GoodLife is extending a complimentary one-month membership to patients that have received a ‘Prescription to Get Active’ from their primary care physician. Genesis Health Clubs Now Largest Fitness Provider In Midwest

WICHITA, KS - Wichita-based Genesis Health Clubs vaulted to the top spot of fitness providers in the Midwest, announcing the purchase of an additional nineteen clubs throughout the region for a new total of 44 clubs in operation. The acquisition of 19 locations, included eight clubs from 24 Hour Fitness in the Kansas City metro area, seven clubs in the Omaha metro area, and two additional clubs each in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Lincoln, Nebraska.
