CANADA – GoodLife Members across Canada joined together to Spin, Groove and Move for a great cause at Spin4Kids 2017. Whether it was at the 1,000+ participant event in St. John’s, NFLD or a more intimate event like the Hawaiian luau-themed affair in Chatham, Ontario, 65 communities across the country shared the same goal: To raise funds for GoodLife Kids Foundation to help get Canadian kids physically active!

Results have been tallied, and GoodLife is proud to announce that, with the help of thousands of GoodLife Members, Associates, family and friends, over $940,000 was raised at Spin4Kids 2017!

GoodLife clubs, convention centres, and arenas were transformed into Spin4Kids fitness parties for the day with music pumping, decorations, prizes, costumes, and a level of energy in group fitness classes that is hard to beat! Many events also welcomed special guests from local schools and organizations that are the beneficiaries of our efforts to share heartwarming stories of the impact this fundraising has on the lives kids in their communities. Check out #Spin4Kids on social media to see some of the action!

Funds raised support two key initiatives that are getting kids active. The GoodLife4Kids School Program is a partnership program with local teachers helping to teach fitness skills to grade 4 students at no cost to schools. In 2016, the program reached over 3,500 kids at 100 partner schools, with GoodLife4Kids Coaches delivering a total of 3,000 fitness hours. The GoodLife Kids Grant Program provides funding for programs offering ongoing physical activity opportunities for children with special needs. In 2016, 76 organizations received grants of up to $10,000 to improve local access to adapted physical activity programs for this underserved population.

Our sincere thanks to all who participated! Together, we’re providing opportunities for positive early physical activity and fitness experiences that help kids develop healthy habits and a love of being active that will stay with them for a lifetime. If you missed out this year, don’t worry – Spin4Kids is an annual event held every March
