Genesis Health Clubs Acquires Lincoln Athletic Club; Starts Construction on Largest Health Club in Manhattan, Kansas History

LINCOLN, NE - Genesis Health Clubs continued its recent explosion of growth, acquiring Lincoln Athletic Club, an 88,000 square foot facility, including multiple fitness areas, an indoor track, a collegiate sized basketball court, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, three group fitness studios, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, two racquetball courts, multiple steam rooms, a hot tub, massage therapy center, tanning rooms, meeting rooms, a kid’s gym, nursery, and pro shop.
MANHATTAN, KS - Genesis Health Clubs has announced that November 29 was the official groundbreaking and start of construction on its new Manhattan 70,000 square foot location, the company’s 45th. Genesis Health Clubs to Purchase Fitness 2000 and All Assets

WICHITA, KS - Fitness 2000 announced that it will sell all its assets to Genesis Health Clubs, effective immediately. Located at 1046 S. Oliver St. in Wichita, KS, and open since 1996, Fitness 2000 was a 22,000 square foot facility, featuring cardio and weight loss equipment and many more amenities. Town Sports International Holdings Inc. Announces Plans to Acquire Lucille Roberts Health Club Business

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Town Sports International Holdings Inc., ("TSI' or the "Company") (Nasdaq: CLUB), owner and operator of New York Sports Clubs (NYSC), announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Lucille Roberts Health Clubs businesses.
