COTTAGE GROVE, WI – Matrix Fitness announces that they will be among the equipment manufacturers that will help launch GymKit to the market later this fall. GymKit, announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, will allow Apple Watch to seamlessly connect in real time to select fitness equipment.

When the technology is launched this fall, Apple Watch users can effortlessly pair their watches with Matrix cardio equipment, including the 7xi and 7xe consoles for treadmills; Ascent Trainers; suspension ellipticals; ClimbMills; and upright, recumbent and hybrid exercise bikes. By simply tapping Apple Watch to the Matrix consoles, users will have unprecedented two-way communication between the devices, allowing the watch and the equipment to exchange metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, distance or floors climbed, speed and incline for the most comprehensive, accurate tracking available.

“At Matrix we always believe in putting our customers first, and that means introducing innovative technologies that bring solutions through their connectivity,” said Mark Zabel, Global Chief Marketing Officer and US Commercial Division President for Johnson Health Tech Co., Ltd. “By integrating this technology in to our machines, we’re delivering another way for our customers to use the data to make healthier choices in their lives.”
