Life Fitness Names Mike Shedivy as Vice President of Global Commercial Category Management and Product Development

ROSEMONT, IL – Life Fitness, a global leader in commercial fitness equipment, announced that Mike Shedivy has been named Vice President of Global Commercial Category Management and Product Development. In this new role, Shedivy will be the global leader for product management, engineering and marketing across all Life Fitness brands. He will report to Life Fitness President Chris Clawson. The appointment is effective immediately.

Shedivy joins Life Fitness from parent company Brunswick Corporation’s (NYSE: BC) Mercury Marine unit, where he most recently served as president – Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has worked within the Brunswick organization for 13 years and has held various roles including strategic planning, marketing, category management and business development.

“Mike’s talent and leadership will be an invaluable addition to the Life Fitness executive team,” said Clawson. “With the rapid addition of new brands at Life Fitness comes the need to restructure in order to best serve our customers in all corners of the globe, and I’m confident that Mike will help lead us into a future of continued growth and customer partnership.”

The Life Fitness commercial fitness business has grown exponentially in the past year with the additions of Cybex and SCIFIT to the existing Life Fitness and Hammer Strength brands. This new appointment emphasizes the importance of a dedicated focus on product categories and product management, Clawson added.

“I’m eager to join the Life Fitness team during this exciting time of growth,” said Shedivy. “I look forward to working with our customers around the world as we help people live healthier lives.”

Shedivy holds a bachelor of science degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering as well as master’s degrees in both engineering management and business administration from Northwestern University. He will relocate from Belgium to the Chicago area with his family.
