SAN DIEGO, CA – The American Council on Exercise (ACE) has launched Health Coach Live Class, a real-time, virtual classroom experience designed to complement the ACE Health Coach Certification Study Program, improve the comprehension of learning materials and prepare future health coaches for their first day on the job.

“We know that properly trained and certified health coaches are essential in the fight against the lifestyle-related chronic disease epidemic in the United States and around the globe,” said Cedric X. Bryant, Ph. D., FACSM, President and Chief Science Officer at ACE. “Health Coach Live Class is just one way ACE equips future health coaches so they are ready to make an impact immediately upon certification.”

Live Class is designed to help all types of learners on their path to becoming successful ACE Certified Health Coaches. Live Class will allow learners to dive deeper into the core competencies of health coaching — such as motivational interviewing and client-centered goal-setting — as well as ask real-time questions about health coaching strategy application.

“One of the most exciting aspects of Live Class is that learners will be provided with an interactive learning experience,” said Dennis Sanchez, ACE Certified Health Coach and Health Coach Education and Training Lead. “Health Coach Live Class will strengthen learners’ comprehension and ultimately help learners feel more confident and better prepared to take the ACE Health Coach Certification Exam.”

Health Coach Live Class consists of one 90-minute class per week for 16 weeks. To learn more about the course specifics, please visit ACEfitness.org/LiveClassHC.

The ACE Health Coach Certification is the only health coach certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), considered the gold standard for the accreditation of professional certifications in healthcare, fitness, nutrition, and other industries. To date, ACE has more than 7,500 active ACE Certified Health Coaches. ACE Certified Health Coaches are employed in a wide variety of areas including healthcare, fitness, corporate wellness and community settings.
