USPTA and Wilson Sporting Goods Co. Reunite in Multiyear Deal

HOUSTON, TX - The USPTA announced it will enter into a 3-year agreement with Wilson Sporting Goods Co., the global leader in performance tennis. Under the terms of the agreement, Wilson will become the official equipment supplier of the USPTA, providing racquets, balls, strings, grip, bags, 10 and Under Tennis equipment and stringing machines, along with platform tennis paddles and balls for USPTA members and programs. Planet Fitness Announces Second Quarter 2016 Results

NEWINGTON, N.H. - Planet Fitness, Inc. (NYSE: PLNT) reported financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2016: Total revenue increased from the prior year period by 15.9% to $91.5 million. System-wide same store sales increased 7.6%. Net income was $18.1 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, compared to net income of $11.6 million in the prior year period. Adjusted net income increased 27.5% to $16.8 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, compared to $13.2 million in the prior year period. Adjusted EBITDA increased 18.6% to $36.8 million from $31.0 million in the prior year period. 36 new Planet Fitness franchise stores were opened during the period, bringing system-wide total stores to 1,206 at June 30, 2016.
