USTA Foundation Campaign Reaches $10 Million in Donations for NJTLs

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), raised more than $10 million in 2021, the first year of the Foundation’s three-year, $20 million Rally for the Future campaign. With approximately $6 million of those funds already distributed to support National Tennis & Learning chapters (NJTL) to support under-resourced youth through free or low-cost tennis and education programs, additional funds will continue to be utilized for ongoing programming including NJTL chapters, grants and scholarships. New IHRSA Data Shows High, Growing COVID-related Closure Rates for Fitness Facilities

WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week, IHRSA, the Global Health & Fitness Association, unveiled new industry data showing yet another increase in the number of health clubs, gyms, studios that have closed since this time last year. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, 25% of all fitness facilities have closed across the country, and 30% of studios closed as of January 1, 2022, an increase of 11% since January 1, 2021, which has left the industry looking to Congress for support. (NYSE: PLNT) (together with its subsidiaries, the "Company") announced that it has priced $900 million of Series 2022-1 Class A-2 Fixed Rate Senior Secured Notes (the "Class A-2 Notes"), which consist of two tranches: the Class A-2-I Senior Secured Notes with an anticipated repayment term of five years, with an aggregate principal amount of $425 million and a fixed interest rate of 3.251% per annum, payable quarterly, and the Class A-2-II Senior Secured Notes with an anticipated repayment term of ten years, with an aggregate principal amount of $475 million and a fixed interest rate of 4.008% per annum, payable quarterly.
