LOS ANGELES, CA – World Gym International, the iconic global brand for bodybuilding and seriously fun fitness, will open a corporate owned gym near the Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio, Texas in second quarter 2017. World Gym Ingram Park will be the first corporate gym for the brand since the former corporate gym in Marina del Rey, CA.

“When my family acquired World Gym in 2009, our goal was to grow the Brand via both franchised and corporate gyms. Over the last few years, we have grown our franchising business internationally and strengthened our franchised gyms in the United States. Now we’re ready to aggressively start opening corporate-owned gyms,” said Leo Cammilleri, Director of World Gym.

“World Gym Ingram Park is the perfect model for what we look for in gym locations,” added Marcus Cammilleri, Director of World Gym. “San Antonio is the seventh most populated city in the United States and growing. We plan on opening several locations throughout greater San Antonio over the next few years.”

The 25,000 square-foot, full-service gym will feature the latest equipment and top amenities, including a Women’s Only Area, Kids’ World, Hydro Massage, Tanning, ProShop, and a multi-purpose indoor/outdoor small group training space. The gym will also offer a wide range of fitness classes, such as Zumba, Yoga, Bodypump and the new, exceptionally popular World Gym Athletics small group training regimen.

World Gym Athletics is a studio-style team training program that combines elements of tactical training, functional training and high intensity interval training. This raw, no-nonsense and balanced approach to fitness offers a more complete training program to help people achieve their fitness goals. The first of its kind in the area, the World Gym Athletics program will be a welcome addition to the San Antonio community.

“With the World Gym Athletics program, World Gym Ingram Park will be the not only offer a full-service gym but also small group training that can’t be found elsewhere in the area,” said Bill Windscheif, VP of Business Development & Gym Operations at World Gym.

World Gym Ingram Park will bring about 50 new jobs to the San Antonio community.
