BATON ROUGE, LA – 2021 was a major growth year for boutique-fitness-studio concept REGYMEN Fitness, and the franchise is leveraging that momentum to expand its footprint further in 2022, aiming to open up to 20 new units by the end of the year.

Domestically, REGYMEN opened two new units in 2021 in Austin, Texas — “The Grove” and “RoundRock.” The franchise also opened two units in Canada through a partnership with GoodLife Fitness. REGYMEN’s team also launched the first and second locations of its sister concept, wellness franchise The Covery Wellness Spa, in 2021 and has agreements signed for 10 more locations, five of which are scheduled to open in Q1 of 2022 in Tampa, Clearwater, Jacksonville and Dunedin, Florida and Huntsville, Alabama. By the end of 2022, The Covery Wellness Spa anticipates having 50 – 60 new franchise agreements signed.

“Over the past year, the success of both REGYMEN Fitness and The Covery Wellness Spa have shown that people are more dedicated to their health and wellness than ever before,” said EK Navan, the brands’ co-founder. “As demand continues to climb, we’re looking forward to introducing our concepts to new communities. Both REGYMEN Fitness and The Covery Wellness Spa allow members to look and feel their best, and we’re confident that as we continue to add new franchise owners to our team, they’ll be able to continue making a difference in their communities while thriving as business owners themselves.”

Both REGYMEN and The Covery Wellness Spa ensure recurring revenue for franchise owners through membership models designed to encourage cross-brand participation and expand their target customer bases.

The global wellness market, valued at more than $1.5 trillion, is projected to continue rising as consumers adjust to the ongoing pandemic, according to a new study, suggesting that both REGYMEN and The Covery Wellness Spa have their biggest opportunities for growth still ahead.

“The pandemic has highlighted the importance of taking care of yourself,” said Larry Conner, CFO of both brands. “It starts with fitness, but people need to recover from intense workouts. The Covery Wellness Spa stands out because it allows members to recover according to their own schedule with a tiered approach and an array of offerings under the same roof.”

“We’re in an incredible position to grow right now,” said Navan. “With REGYMEN and The Covery Wellness Spa, we have two killer franchise opportunities and enormous demand for what they offer. We’re excited to start meeting that demand.”
