Genesis Health Club Tennis Professionals Qualify for US Open Playoff National Championships

SALINA, KS – Thiago Santos and Victor Melo, Tennis Professionals at Genesis Health Clubs in Salina, KS are one of only 16 doubles teams in the Nation to play for a spot in the US Open.
Thiago Santos and Victor Melo, respectively Tennis Director and Head Tennis Professional at Genesis Salina have qualified to play in the 2016 US Open National Playoffs. They earned their spot by playing in a pre-qualifying event early this summer in Kansas City, MO.
The playoffs will be held on August 21st – August 24th in New Haven, Connecticut in conjunction with the Connecticut Open WTA event presented by United Technologies and Emirates Airline US Open series.
Only 16 doubles teams from all over the country and world have qualified for this event and the winner will earn a wild card entry into the prestigious and most important tennis event of the year, the US Open Championships in the following week in Queens, NY.
Thiago and Victor are amongst the very few, if not the only Kansas tennis teaching professionals currently hold an ATP professional doubles ranking.
