Club Fit Temporarily Closes All Locations Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. and JEFFERSON VALLEY, N.Y. – As you know, this has been an incredibly challenging time for our country and the world as we struggle with the outbreak of COVID-19. Our hearts go out to all who have already been affected by this terrible virus and those who may be affected in the future.
As we’re sure you already know New York State is requiring us to close our doors. While we understand the need for this action, we can’t help but feel that the products and services we offer are part of the long-term solution to illness. It has been proven through science-based research that exercise and healthy living habits are associated with lower rates of illness as well as better treatment outcomes when people fall ill.
We know how important exercise it to you as a member of Club Fit and it truly hurts us to know that we won’t be here for you as a physical and emotional support during this difficult time. As much as we’ll miss seeing you every day, we know you will miss seeing us and your fellow members. Club Fit, is an important part of all our lives, being together is what makes us a Club.
We have advised staff that they will receive full pay for the first two weeks of this shut down and we’re hopeful that we can be back in business quickly. Please remember that we are a small, local business. Our goal is to be open again as soon as the government permits and we will need your support more than ever.
We will immediately halt monthly dues billing beginning with the April 1, 2020 billing date. For those of you who house charged items during March, you will see that billing on or around April 1, 2020. Billing for membership will resume when we are advised we can open again. At that time you will receive credit for the two weeks of March that we were forced to close. For anyone on an annual billing plan we will credit this time appropriately to the end of your membership.
This is an incredibly difficult time for all local businesses. When we are allowed to go out again we ask that you work extra hard to do business with local companies. We’ve been unbelievably lucky to have the unwavering support of our members and staff for many years. We’ll need that support more than ever to weather this storm. This will pass and we can’t wait to welcome you back so that you can resume the activity and social interactions that you came to expect with us. Our work in our communities is more important now than ever.
