MANHATTAN, IL – Group fitness franchise Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs ended 2022 celebrating another year of growth. The business, which is part of the Fit For You Franchising umbrella, saw significant franchise interest, and the executives at Fit For You are excited to keep that momentum going in 2023.

“2022 was a great year for Fitness Premier, and we’re excited about the growth that we saw,” said Jason Markowicz, founder of Fit For You Franchising. “Much of our success can be attributed to the investments we have made into our franchise system this year, and we can’t wait to keep growing in 2023.”

Fitness Premier saw impressive revenue increases in 2022, with same-store sales up about 8% year over year. The brand also opened 3 new locations in 17 markets, including Georgia and Illinois.

To support the booming business it has seen, Fitness Premier made several significant investments in 2022. For example, the company adopted a new entrepreneur operating system (EOS) that Markowicz says has been “a real differentiator” for the brand. The platform teaches franchisees how to run their business through a systematic planning approach, from organizing meetings with their team to setting annual goals. Fitness Premier is also about to start rolling out a new hiring tool called a culture index, which helps match suitable candidates to the right jobs within the brand for their skillset.

Additionally, the brand bought a new 11,000-square-foot corporate office headquarters in downtown Frankfort, which it will be moving into next fall.

“The investments we’ve made are going to be great tools at the franchisee level,” said Markowicz. “Operators will be able to manage business more effectively and become more profitable. One of our primary focuses has been to help everybody work through this inflationary time. More efficiency and unit level profitability will equal more growth in the franchise system.”

As it continues to grow, Fitness Premier has added new key players to its team, including Jillyan Morris as Franchise Success Manager, Rick King as the new Chief Operating Officer, and Emily Janssen as Growth Development Officer.

Morris entered the role with over a decade of experience in the franchising industry. As a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician, she started out with Massage Envy and worked as an operating partner at Prose Nails. Eventually, her career took a turn into fitness as a regional manager at Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs before being selected into her new role.

“In my role, I support franchisees in any way I can, such as helping them with any questions about analytics and numbers or providing them guidance and feedback,” said Morris.
Additionally, she will help new franchisees who are just starting out, acting as a liaison between them and the corporate side of the brand.

To continue to encourage a positive company culture, Fitness Premier also held its fourth Annual Fitness Premier Summit in early December, allowing brand executives, owners and operators to come together for a collaborative two-day event. The conference took place December 1–2 in New Buffalo, Michigan, and included dozens of key players from the Fitness Premier system and Fit For You Franchising. The summit allowed many of the 42 individuals in attendance to meet for the first time and share success stories and best practices.

“Our annual leadership summit is a great chance for us to collaborate, connect and ensure we’re aligned with management teams throughout the network,” said Markowicz. “We really make sure it’s a healthy balance of learning, challenging each other and fun throughout the two-day session. We reflected on and celebrated many wins we had in 2022 and brainstormed on all the areas of focus going into 2023. We’re very fortunate to be surrounded by such great people.”

Looking ahead, Fit For You Franchising is looking forward to more developments in 2023. Markowicz hopes to open six to eight new stores in the new year.

The total initial investment necessary to begin the operation of a Fitness Premier Club Model is
$279,849 to $575,499 per unit. This includes a $39,999 franchise fee.
