KNOXVILLE, TN – Over the past 10 years, Power Systems has held annual collection drives for employees to donate to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM). During the month of June, Power Systems employees donated personal hygiene products to be donated to KARM. Employees were challenged to bring in at least one of the items on the list. Such items included, shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, baby diapers, wipes and toilet paper. All of the donated items were delivered to KARM earlier this month.

Knox Area Rescue Ministries is a non-profit organization, based in Knoxville, TN, that provides food and shelter to those in need. KARM provides nearly 1,000 meals per day to the homeless and those who must choose between food and other basic needs. Each evening, KARM’s emergency and residential shelter provides a home for nearly 400 men, women, and families in need.

Vice President and General Manager Linda Miller is pleased with the response of the donation challenge by Power Systems employees. According to Miller, “It’s great to see our company rally behind our community like this. For 10 years, our team has been generous in helping those less fortunate in our community. One of the core values we live by is ‘supporting our community’ – we believe in enhancing the quality of life where we live, work, and play.”
