A special Memorial Service was held for industry giant Curt Beusman on July 12 at 3:00PM at the Saw Mill River Club in Mount Kisco, New York.

The Beusman family and IHRSA used the occasion to announce the launch of the Curt & Jane Beusman Institute Scholarship in honor of their memory and lasting impact on the health club industry. The first scholarship will be awarded next year for the 2016 IHRSA Institute.

Curt and Jane were among the early founders and supporters of IHRSA and were passionate and deeply involved with the health club industry. Their willingness to support the growth of the industry and give back have greatly contributed to the success of IHRSA and numerous club operations throughout the world. Both were committed to making the industry better by sharing advice and ideas and educating those in the industry.

“This is a fitting tribute to two people who did so much to help others to develop successful club operations,” said Joe Moore, President and CEO of IHRSA.

Donations are being accepted for the Scholarship Fund and the Beusman Family will make a matching donation of up to $5,000 per year. Learn more about making a donation.
