acac Temporarily Closes All Locations Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – It is with a heavy heart that we announce all acac locations will close for a minimum of a week. We know how many people, members, guests and team members depend on our club every day. While we have not had any outbreak of the virus occur in our acac community, in light of the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and in an effort to be responsible stewards for our community at large, we feel continued operation at this time is inadvisable.
We will be closed for a minimum of a week, and will continue to monitor global trends and guidelines from our national health leaders to determine when it is safe to serve our members once again. We will still be performing our intensive cleaning procedures for all clubs as scheduled.
Since our leadership team started preparations for the COVID-19 virus in early February, we have diligently followed the recommendations of the CDC and our state and local health departments. We are extremely proud of our members and team, who over the past few weeks have helped take our club cleanliness to a whole new level. By stocking up on essential supplies, educating on best practices, and through extra sanitation efforts, acac has reinforced its position as the cleanest club in the locations we serve.
Effective immediately, we will no longer be placing memberships on hold. For existing members concerned about their dues, all lost time during the shutdown will be appropriately credited to your membership account. Our team will do its best in this unprecedented situation to answer your individual questions and concerns. Please be patient as it may take some time to respond. Rather than emailing or calling, please fill out the form at the end of this post with your specific request and we will route appropriately.
As you may have read yesterday, we have been able to secure for all of our members several free work-out-from-home options. Through our efforts, we have created exclusive partnerships with Les Mills & OpenFit (BeachBody) with hundreds of options for staying fit during the shutdown.
