WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), has awarded grants totaling nearly $3 million to 155 National Junior Tennis and Learning chapters (NJTL) in 41 states and the District of Columbia. The grants are designated to support under-resourced youth through tennis and education programs designed to improve health, build character and strive for academic excellence. WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The USTA announces that tennis saw significant growth in both participation and equipment sales in 2021, which marks the second consecutive year of this trend. According to the Physical Activity Council’s (PAC) Participation report produced by Sports Marketing Surveys, which monitors more than 120 different sports and activities, more than 22.6 million people took to the courts in 2021, up approximately one million players and 4.5% from 2020. WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), raised more than $10 million in 2021, the first year of the Foundation’s three-year, $20 million Rally for the Future campaign.
