Wellbeats Named “Best Overall Fitness Technology Company” in 2021 MedTech Breakthrough Awards Program

LOUIS PARK, MN – Wellbeats, a national leader in virtual, on-demand fitness for individuals and workplace wellbeing programs, announces that it has been selected as the winner of the “Best Overall Fitness Technology Company” Award in the fifth annual MedTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by MedTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global health, fitness and medical technology markets.

Wellbeats delivers on-demand, virtual fitness and well-being programming for corporate wellness programs, offered limited-time free subscriptions to their expansive catalog of more than 32 channels and more than 700 classes of fitness and well-being content. In 2020 alone, employees who used Wellbeats content recorded more than 29 million activity minutes, with more than 1.3 million people accessing Wellbeats through their workplace well-being program.

Employees can easily discover content ranging from high-intensity workouts to nutrition education, and cycling classes to stress reduction. Of particular interest were classes designed for younger users. Among all users, class plays of kids’ programming grew 2,067% from January to April, as parents used Wellbeats classes to keep kids active or meet school phy ed requirements. Further, with many Americans facing mental health struggles during the pandemic, use of Wellbeats’ mindfulness classes increased 383% in the first four months of the year.
