USTA Foundation Receives $215K from Chase to Support 29 NJTLs

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), announces that, for the ninth consecutive year, it has partnered with longtime U.S. Open sponsor Chase to award 29 National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) chapters with $215,000 in total grants to support year-round tennis and education programming. This year, more than 21,000 youth from under-resourced communities will be impacted by these grants. Chase has awarded more than $1.3 million to selected NJTL chapters in its nine-year collaboration with the USTA Foundation.
“We are honored to once again work with our longtime supporter, Chase, an outstanding mission-driven company that has impacted thousands of kids from under-resourced communities through the Return to Serve program,” said Dan Faber, USTA Foundation Chief Executive. “Now more than ever, we are seeing how tennis and education can uplift and empower our youth. We are incredibly energized to keep on the momentum and growth we’ve been experiencing with our NJTL chapters across the country and are thankful for supporters like Chase who share the passion for our mission.”
Additionally, after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Return the Serve Fun Day” came back with a fun celebration of the NJTL chapters in five selected markets. More than 1,000 youth in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Houston and D.C. participated in this nationwide celebration. Each of the local events featured high-energy and fun tennis activities, off-court educational opportunities, and healthy lunch for the youth participants of the NJTL programs and their families.
