LAKE NONA, FL – The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), Inc. announces the launch of a new pickleball certification, available to existing USPTA coaches, and for the first time, nonmembers.
As one of the fastest growing sports in the United States, pickleball coaching certification offers a unique opportunity for players and current coaches of all skill levels to expand their knowledge and coaching abilities.
This certification is modeled after the USPTA’s successful tennis certification protocols and was designed with the assistance of pickleball experts and teaching professionals.
“The USPTA represents the gold standard in certification and education in racquet sports – tennis, pickleball, padel, wheelchair tennis and platform tennis. We are thrilled to offer our new pickleball certification to non-members and members alike,” said USPTA CEO Brian Dillman. “Pickleball’s growing popularity is creating enormous career opportunities for professionals at existing racquets facilities to expand their business or for professionals exploring one of the many standalone pickleball facilities, which are popping up all over the U.S., and very soon, globally.”
Pickleball certification workshops will be offered nationwide by the USPTA’s 17 divisions.
“We are thrilled to launch this new pickleball certification pathway for our existing members and those new to the USPTA. Our dedicated team and pickleball task force have worked diligently to develop this pathway to raise the standard of pickleball coaching, help coaches excel in their roles and positively impact their students,” said USPTA Chief Development Officer Ramona Husaru.
