TennisPro Magazine Editor Receives Award

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced that Peggy Edwards, Director of Communications and Editor of TennisPro Magazine, was presented a 2018 APEX Award (Awards for Publishing Excellence).
The APEX award category ‘Magazines, Journals & Tabloids – Print’ was for the November/December issue of TennisPro. TennisPro is the official publication of PTR tennis teachers and coaches. Edwards, who has been with PTR since 1998, has been the recipient of 23 APEX awards for TennisPro.
APEX is a competition for writers, editors, publications staff, business and nonprofit communicators. The selection of award recipients was based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.
Prior to joining PTR, Edwards spent more than a decade as Vice President of Marketing for Majestic Athletic, an apparel manufacturer with a focus on professional and team sports, serving as the company’s liaison to the licensing and properties divisions of Major League Baseball, National Football League and National Hockey League. A 20-year Hilton Head Island resident, Edwards is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, went to the University of Southern California, and was a mural artist in Santa Monica.
