HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – In an effort to support younger tennis coaches, Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) is excited to announce the introduction of Young GameChangers, four of whom have been selected to present at the PTR International Tennis Symposium.
The diverse international group includes PTR Italy’s Communications and Marketing Manager, David Botti; Jack Busby, Director of Tennis at Southern Highlands Country Club in Las Vegas; Yasemin Ozsoy, who works at Kim Clijsters Academy in Belgium, assisting the operations and management of international and national athletes; and British subject, Emma Wells, an LTA Licensed Coach who worked for LTA for Kids and other programs.
As part of the organization’s Mentoring Program, PTR is grooming Young GameChangers to be the presenters of tomorrow. Australian expert, Emma Doyle is training the Young GameChangers to discover their intellectual property, and to lead their audience. The GameChangers will conduct on court and classroom presentations on Thursday, February 14, at 4:30pm. The Symposium will be the first time any of the Young GameChangers have presented at an industry event of this size.
The Symposium offers unparalleled education with more than 40 presentations, and specialized education from the professional development courses including Gigi Fernandez doubles course – The Gigi Method, and Judy Murray’s Miss-Hits. Attendees can also play the PTR-UTR Championships. There are abundant networking opportunities, a Tennis Trade Show, and a day of demo courts, where attendees can try the latest equipment and technologies. Fun abounds at the Parade of Nations Flag Ceremony, Hall of Fame induction and Awards Banquet, and the HEAD/Penn Casino Dinner and Dance Party. PTR International Tennis Symposium’s balance of education and entertainment sends attendees home rejuvenated to share their newfound wealth of information in the clubs and courts back home.
