VANCOUVER, WA – Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS), an innovative leader in home fitness for over 40 years, has announced that Octane Fitness has hired veteran Matt Santos as the new Territory Manager for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. With 23 years of experience in the fitness industry, Santos is focused on commercial sales in the South region, managing all YMCAs, the GSA Tactical Fitness account and all dealer business.
Previously, Santos spent 16 years at Cybex International, Inc., most recently as Director of Dealer Sales, where he focused on increasing sales margins and global market share among 50 dealers in 37 states and Western Canada.
Santos was part of the Cybex International Leadership Product Development Team, and served as the Professional Sports Sales and Performance Manager, in addition to several other roles. When Cybex was purchased by Brunswick, Life Fitness’ parent company, in January 2016, he led the Cybex/Life Fitness dealer transition team.
Santos began his career in 1996 at Fun ‘N Fitness in Scottsdale, Arizona, first as the retail store manager, and later as commercial sales manager. Part of the NFL Combine staff since 2004, Santos also was a minor league baseball bull pen coach and hitting instructor from 1991-1997.
Based in Plano, Texas, Santos has a B.A. degree in liberal arts, with an emphasis on anatomy/physiology from the University of Central Oklahoma.
