Inc. Names Big Ass Fans Among Fastest Growing Companies

LEXINGTON, KY – Inc. magazine has named Big Ass Fans to its Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for the ninth consecutive year.
The Inc. 5000 ranks companies based on their three-year growth rates. Big Ass Fans has increased revenues by 154 percent and hired more than 420 employees. The company employs more than 700 and expects $225 million in sales in 2015.
In addition to the national ranking, Big Ass Fans was the fastest-growing company in Lexington and the fastest-growing manufacturer in Kentucky.
The growth of the company is due in large part to Founder and Chief Big Ass Carey Smith’s no-nonsense approach, which is often the focus of his weekly Inc. articles.
