Call for Editor-in-Chief Applications and Nominations for ACSM’s Health & Fitness Journal

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – ACSM is now accepting applications and nominations for the role of Editor-in-Chief for ACSM’s Health & Fitness Journal (HFJ), with plans to interview finalists in the spring of 2024. Ideally, applicants are ACSM members in good standing who have a strong working knowledge of applied science. The applicants’ editorial experiences, organizational abilities, creativity and the capacity to serve in this role will be considered.

HFJ is a rich resource for fitness instructors, personal trainers, exercise leaders, program managers and other front-line health and fitness professionals. The journal’s mission is to promote and distribute accurate, unbiased, and authoritative information on health and fitness. The journal includes peer-reviewed feature articles along with various topical columns written by a seasoned team of Associate Editors to cover all aspects of exercise science and nutrition research, with current topics of interest to the fitness industry and continuing education credit opportunities. The journal adheres to the format used for all ACSM journals, utilizing an editorial board and editor-in-chief.
