IHRSA Announces 2018 Industry Award Recipients

BOSTON, MA - IHRSA, The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association, has announced that three award recipients will be honored during IHRSA 2018, the association’s 37th Annual IHRSA International Convention & Trade Show in San Diego, CA, March 21-24, 2018: The Associate Member of the Year Award will be presented on Thursday, March 22 to Myzone; The Outstanding Community Service Award will be presented on Thursday, March 22 to Sisters Athletic Club of Sisters, OR; The Woman Leader Award in honor of Julie Main will be presented on Friday, March 23 to Kristen Green of Aquafit in South West Sydney, Australia. Bill Dussor, Longtime IHRSA Staff Member, Passes Away

BOSTON, MA - Sadly, we at IHRSA lost one of our own on Saturday. Bill Dussor, Director of Meetings & Trade Shows emeritus, passed away on January 13 after a long battle with colon cancer. While Bill was respected and well-liked by the many industry leaders that have served on the IHRSA Board of Directors during his tenure at IHRSA over the past 26 years, the reality is that the vast majority of IHRSA members probably never had met Bill; but if you ever attended an IHRSA event, then you’ve experienced the fruits of his labor. BOSTON, MA - The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) released its annual Industry Data Survey (IDS) results and the accompanying publication, IHRSA Profiles of Success. The report provides a detailed analysis of the annual performance of leading health and fitness clubs, including results in key metrics such as revenue, membership growth and retention, traffic, payroll, non-dues revenue, and EBITDA.
