Planet Fitness Opening in Ellicott City

TIMONIUM, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand announces further expansion in Maryland.

In mid-August, its second Howard County location is scheduled to open at 8450 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043.

As an introductory special, members can join for .25 cents down, then $10 a month with the Classic membership or $22.99 a month for the PF Black Card membership with no commitment. An online pre-sale will take place June 21 through August 12 at www.planetfitness.com/gyms/ellicott-city-md.

The PF Black Card membership includes the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,000+ Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states, as well as access to massage beds, chairs and tanning, among other benefits, which vary by location and pending local restrictions.

The 21,704-square-foot Ellicott City club will offer state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds and more – all in a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment.

In 2020, PFGP opened the first Planet Fitness club in Howard County at Dobbin Center located at 6475-101 H East Dobbin Rd., Columbia, MD 21045. The Ellicott City club will be the 24th Planet Fitness club in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area and the 12th area club owned by PFGP.
