Planet Fitness Marysville (Smokey Point) Hosts Grand Opening

TIMONIUM, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, celebrates the grand opening of its Marysville (Smokey Point) club (2517 172nd St. NE Marysville, WA 98271), May 10.
Approximately 150 people attended the festivities, which included the following:
- Ribbon cutting with Mayor Jon Nehring and the Tulalip Marysville Chamber of Commerce;
- $1,000 check presentation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County;
- Giveaways and prizes including a 65” Smart TV, Amazon Echo Show, Apple watch, University of Washington Huskies game tickets and specialty items;
- Special appearances by Washington Huskies football players, Ulumoo Ale and Elijah Jackson, who engaged with the crowd, participated with members in the 30-minute circuit and drew the raffle prize winners;
- Virtual remote with MOViN 92.5 FM;
- Free workouts and 30-Minute Express Circuit demo.
Open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the Smokey Point club features offer state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with lockers and showers and numerous flat screen televisions.
Its PF Black Card® Spa Area features HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning and a RelaxSpace Wellness Pod – Planet Fitness’ first in the Seattle area – where its Black Card® members can relax, reset and focus on their mental health for up to 15 minutes. Members can select between a variety of videos, scents and even temperatures while learning more about diet, nutrition, breathing and the benefits of exercise. Plus, the Wellness Pod tracks heart rates and encourages members to use breathing and meditation exercises to reduce anxiety levels, disconnect and recharge with a unique, multi-sensory experience.
Memberships, starting at $10/month for the Classic Card, include free fitness training led by a certified fitness trainer through the pe@pf® program. The PF Black Card® membership – $24.99/month – includes the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,400+ Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states, as well as access to massage beds, chairs and tanning, among other benefits.
The Smokey Point club is Planet Fitness’ 28th and Ohana’s 12th in the Seattle area. The group’s portfolio includes clubs in Bremerton, Burlington, Downtown Seattle, Everett, Federal Way, Lacey, Mill Creek, North Seattle, Oak Harbor, Olympia and Rainier Beach.
