Planet Fitness Hagerstown Reopens After Completing $1M Renovation

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, recently completed over $1 million worth of renovations to its Hagerstown club located at 1121 Maryland Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740, which originally opened in 2009.
During a four-month period (which included a one-month closure), the facility was expanded by 4,000-square-feet of space. Now totaling 21,250-square-feet, the club features a new PF Black Card Spa area, new strength and cardio equipment, TRX suspension training, updated locker rooms, new entrance way floor tile and a new front desk. A grand reopening celebration will take place in early 2022.

Open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Planet Fitness Hagerstown features state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds and more in a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment.
Planet Fitness’ top priority continues to be keeping its members and employees safe with enhanced COVID-19 safety and sanitization protocols at its well-ventilated and spacious clubs, such as:
- Touchless check-in via the free Planet Fitness App;
- A Crowd Meter on the Planet Fitness App that allows members to check club capacity in real-time before even leaving the house;
- Increased sanitization every 20 minutes to continually clean and sanitize high-touch areas, with cleaning stations available for member use;
- Mask policies in accordance with local guidelines.
Memberships, starting at $10/month, include free fitness classes led by a certified trainer through the pe@pf program. PF Black Card membership includes the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,100+ Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states, as well as access to massage beds, chairs and tanning, among other benefits, which vary by location and pending local restrictions.
