Planet Fitness Hagerstown Hosts Grand Reopening

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, recently celebrated the grand reopening of its Hagerstown club.
Free and open to the community, the festivities included a ribbon cutting with Maryland State Delegate Brenda Thiam, Jill Thompson (Director of Community & Economic Development for the City of Hagerstown) and the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, a $1,000 check presentation to the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, special appearances by the Baltimore Orioles mascot and 101.5 Bob Rocks, and giveaways/prizes including a 65” Smart TV, Amazon Show, Apple watch, and Baltimore Orioles/University of Maryland Terps game tickets and apparel.
Planet Fitness Hagerstown originally opened in 2009 and recently underwent over $1 million worth of renovations. Expanded by 4,000 square feet of space, the now 21,250 square-foot club features a new PF Black Card Spa area, new strength and cardio equipment, TRX suspension training, updated locker rooms, new entrance way floor tile and a new front desk.
Open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Planet Fitness Hagerstown features state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds and more in a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment.

Memberships, starting at $10/month, include free fitness classes led by a certified trainer through the pe@pf® program.
