Planet Fitness Gaithersburg Reopens with $1.7 Million in Renovations

TIMONIUM, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, announces that its Gaithersburg club recently underwent $1.7 million worth of renovations.
The 14,316-square-foot facility now features a new PF Black Card® Spa area with HydroMassage beds, massage chairs and tanning beds. Coming soon will be its latest amenity, the Recovery Lounge. To help members relieve pain, recover and improve circulation, the lounge offers a multi-sensory experience combining hot, cold and compression therapy to kickstart the recovery process.
Additional improvements include new locker rooms, new cardio equipment, new entrance way tile and new rubber flooring on the upper level.

Planet Fitness Gaithersburg originally opened in October 2010 and just completed nearly three months of renovations. Open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the club features state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, and more in a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment.
