Planet Fitness Adds Edmonds, Washington Location

TIMONIUM, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, will soon expand its Seattle-area footprint.

Construction of Planet Fitness Edmonds is underway in the Edmonds Shopping Center at 22515 Highway 99, Edmonds, WA 98026 in a space previously occupied by RiteAid.

Expected to open by October, the 22,200-square-foot fitness center will offer state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds and more – all in a hassle-free environment.

“Planet Fitness believes fitness is essential to our physical and mental health, and we are thrilled to invest in the Edmonds facility and bring our Judgement Free Zone® to the community,” said Justin Drummond, president of Ohana Growth Partners (OGP), one of the largest franchise divisions of Planet Fitness. “We are confident our non-intimidating fitness experience will be appreciated by all fitness levels, including those who want to join a gym for the first time.”

Those who sign up at planetfitness.com/gyms/edmonds-wa to receive updates about the club, will be automatically entered to win a free 1-year PF Black Card® membership – which includes the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,500+ Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states, as well as access to massage beds, chairs and tanning, among other benefits

As an added incentive starting in August, members can join online with no commitment and receive the following discounts: 25 cents down, then $15/month for the Classic membership or 25 cents down, then $19.99 month for the PF Black Card® membership.

The Edmonds club will be OGP’s 13th Planet Fitness location in the Seattle area. The group’s portfolio includes clubs in Bremerton, Burlington, Everett, Lacey, Lake Stevens, Marysville (Smokey Point), Mill Creek, Monroe, North Seattle, Oak Harbor, Olympia and Rainier Beach.
