Now in its 40th year, the annual Fortune list ranks companies based on growth in revenue, profits and stock returns, measured over the three years through June 2025. On average, companies on this year’s list delivered an annual 40% return to shareholders over the past three years—double the S&P 500 index’s 20% annual return during the same period.
