BOSTON, MA – With a heavy heart, we are temporarily closing all of our clubs effective Tuesday, March 17 – Tuesday, March 31. We believe that a complete closure is the best way to serve the community that we are all so passionate about and help flatten the curve of infections. We are expecting this temporary closure to continue into April, and we will continue to provide updates as we have them.

For the last 43 years our Boston-based and family owned business has been fully dedicated to the health and well-being of our members, our team, and our community. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus is affecting so many lives including our dedicated team who are passionate about getting up and going to work every morning to help you stay healthy and achieve your fitness goals.

Many of you have developed personal relationships with our team and are concerned about their well-being. Rest assured, all our full-time employees, including commission-based trainers, will be paid during this closure, without needing to use any vacation or sick time.

To continue our team’s work in supporting your goals and support our team’s ability to work remotely, we are actively working on the following:

A Growing Virtual Library of Classes

Our Instructors and Personal Trainers are building a virtual library of classes and workouts. We will be sending you a link in the next few days.

In the meantime, we are proudly partnered with Les Mills On Demand, and we are giving you access to 95 classes, including HIIT, Mindfulness, Training, BODYCOMBAT.

We are also offering live class schedules streamed on Instagram so you can take a break from this stressful time and see your favorite instructors who bring you so much joy and endorphins every day.

Full Transition to Virtual Personal Training

Earlier this month, we launched the option for our Personal Trainers to train their clients from their homes. This allows you to continue to work towards your goals with our skilled team via Skype. Your trainer will be in touch to discuss this option and how you can best move forward together.

We are offering all members complimentary one-on-one virtual sessions for you to experience how simple it is to train virtually. If you are interested in setting up a time, please email us at healthworks@healthworksfitness.com.

Membership and Weathering the Storm with Us

We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone. All of us are dealing with a new reality for our day-to-day routines and interactions, and are concerned about our friends and family.

For all our members that stay active during this challenging time, we will be offering you:

  • Access to virtual classes;
  • $50 in club cash for every month we are required to be closed, to be used on services after we reopen;
  • 15% off Personal Training package and teamTRAINING package.

We understand that not all of you will be able to do this, in that case we are also offering:

  • Freeze your membership for no fee and it will be reactivated after the clubs open for no fee;
  • Freeze your membership for $15 bi-weekly or $30 monthly (depending on your plan) and get access to virtual classes.

We are thankful for all of our employees and appreciate their hard work, dedication, and commitment to Healthworks Fitness. We will get through this stronger because we will work through this together.

Sincerely,

Mark Harrington
President of HealthWorks
