WICHITA, KS – Genesis Health Clubs, the nation’s largest privately owned fitness enterprise, announces the launch of Fitness Physio, a physical therapy, sports rehab and recovery clinic located inside select Genesis Health Clubs. Fitness Physio launches this summer at ten locations in Wichita and the Kansas City area with the remaining clinics across Genesis throughout 2026.
By placing Doctors of Physical Therapy inside Genesis Health Clubs, members can receive treatment where they already work out, making it easier to transition from rehabilitation back to exercise. The goal is to help people recover from injuries, improve mobility, reduce pain, and stay active for the long term. “We’ve always believed a great health club should offer more than equipment. Members are looking for help staying healthy, recovering from injuries, and continuing to do the activities they enjoy. Fitness Physio brings licensed physical therapists into our clubs so that support is available where our members already train,” said Rodney Steven II, President and Owner, Genesis Health Clubs
The Fitness Physio model is built around one-on-one, individualized care. Every session is led by a Physical Therapist who evaluates how each patient moves, trains, and lives before developing a personalized treatment plan. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, treatment is designed around each person’s goals, lifestyle, and activity level.
Fitness Physio offers a comprehensive range of treatments designed to help active people recover from injury, reduce pain, improve mobility, and get back to doing what they enjoy. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, managing chronic orthopedic pain, working through a sports injury, or simply looking to move better, Fitness Physio provides care tailored to their individual needs.
Fitness Physio is equipped to help patients recover from orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, chronic pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, movement dysfunction, muscle imbalances, and mobility limitations while also helping reduce the risk of future injuries. “Physical therapy shouldn’t be just where you go after something goes wrong. We want our members to win the long game by staying healthy, moving well, and performing at their best for decades. Having physical therapists inside our clubs allows us to support the whole person, not just the injury,” Steven added.
What makes Fitness Physio different is its location. By operating inside Genesis Health Clubs, physical therapists can evaluate and treat patients in the same environment where they exercise. When collaboration with a Genesis personal trainer makes sense, that connection is already in place, creating a smoother transition from rehabilitation back to regular exercise.
Additional Fitness Physio locations are already planned, with expansion into more Genesis markets in the coming months. Fitness Physio is available to both Genesis members and non-members.
