WICHITA, KS – Genesis Health Clubs, one of the largest and fastest-growing private health club providers in the USA, paused on Friday, November 18 to celebrate and give back to the community, raising over $300,000, an all-time record for the organization. More than 300 people, also a record, attended the sold-out event, raising funds through event admission, a silent auction and a spirited live auction.

Genesis Health Clubs Owner and President Rodney Steven II shared the significance. “We’ve been doing this event for years, but this year it really came alive. Every table was sold out, the auction items were amazing, and everyone came together to help local kids. That generosity will help us buy shoes and beds for thousands of kids. I’m so thankful for everyone who helped, especially DeAnn White, who has really grown this to a whole new level. We’re going to need more room next year!”

GFFT Director DeAnn White, in her 3rd year as GFFT Director has spearheaded the signature Kicks for Kids and Beds for Kids initiatives, as well as the effort to grow the event. She also assembled an extensive collection of auction items, aided by Brandon Steven, the largest automotive entrepreneur in Kansas and Rodney’s brother. These included Super Bowl tickets, VIP courtside seats to an LA Lakers game with signed shoes donated by Russell Westbrook, and a Kevin Hart VIP Meet & Greet with backstage passes. Many auction items exceeded $10,000 in donations, setting even more records for the event.

White expressed gratitude for everyone who helped and contributed. “There are a lot of wonderful people out there and they really came through for the kids. Everyone who helped, donated, bid in the auction, or attended the event did something that will help the most vulnerable kids out there. It was tremendous; I’m thankful and humbled.”
