LOS ANGELES, CA – Equinox, a high performance lifestyle leader, announced the opening of its newest Southern California club in Century City. Expanded and located in the new Westfield center, the 30,000-square foot club combines the unparalleled service that Equinox offers at each of its 88 global locations with its own, distinctively “Hollywood” experience.
“Equinox Century City, conveniently located in the heart of the city’s entertainment hub, was conceived to cater to entertainment industry titans and the hardcore health-minded alike,”” said John Klein, Senior Vice President, Real Estate for Equinox. “The club’s premium executive experience includes locker rooms with integrated lounges, and services like laundry and valet.”
The chic and aspirational venue was designed with the community in mind. Design details including expansive locker rooms with luxurious amenities, a 4,000 square foot outdoor lounge and convertible wall systems that enable an indoor-outdoor programming experiences distinguish this club from others in the portfolio.
“Taking aesthetic inspiration from a film production’s backlot, we utilized studio lighting, sound-proofing materials and lenses of film equipment as design touches that subtly nod to this vibrant community,” said Aaron Richter, Senior Vice President of Design for Equinox. “Expansive 20-foot ceilings open the frame for picturesque floor to ceiling windows that are completely unique to LA and our facilities.”
Equinox Century City features four dedicated studios for yoga, Pilates, cycling and group fitness classes. Expert Equinox instructors will lead a variety of innovative and diverse classes such as The Cut, a cardio-forward boxing class, The Pursuit by Equinox, an immersive, technology driven cycling experience inspiring competition, to unique barre and hot yoga formats.
Equinox’s Tier X training program, delivering the industry’s most advanced form of health coaching, is offered to maximize the high-performance lifestyles of members at Equinox Century City. Cardio, stretch and strength areas unite free weights with functional training space, creating an inspirational setting where members can work out on their own, or with one of Equinox’s highly skilled Tier X or Tier 3+ trainers.
