NEW YORK, N.Y. – Equinox, a high performance lifestyle leader, announced the opening of Equinox Bond St., an iconic new location in the brand’s rapidly expanding portfolio. Located at Zero Bond Street, the club marks the company’s 30th club in New York City and 85th globally.

Situated in a neighborhood where fashion, food and art converge, Equinox Bond St. sets a new standard for luxury fitness offerings in the center of lower Manhattan.

One of the brand’s most dramatic architectural endeavors to date, the design complements the historic area, fusing old and new to embrace the existing beauty of the site, a former manufacturing building that dates back to 1873.

“Our new Bond Street club manages to strike a true balance, highlighting natural architectural drama and incorporating modern touches that are both functional—and unmistakably Equinox,” said Aaron Richter, Vice President of Design at Equinox. “The spacious layout, awe-inspiring details and vibrant surrounding neighborhood set the stage for the perfect new downtown home.”

Equinox Bond St. offers heroically scaled studios, expansive fitness floors and direct views of one of downtown Manhattan’s hottest neighborhoods. The club also features details that amplify key architectural elements of the space, including brick archways in reception, exposed brick, an original façade and soaring 18’ ceilings.

“Working hand-in-hand with the architecture team at Equinox, we’ve created designs that embrace the energy, spirit and grit of downtown and still feel incredibly refined and elegant,” said Kara Mann, founder and creative director, KARA MANN and signature designer of Equinox Bond St. “I was initially inspired by the low-key fashion vibe of the neighborhood, which we worked to marry with the historic details of the stunning space, bringing a fresh perspective to this lively corner of Manhattan.”

The 29,000 square foot club occupies a total of four floors at the corner of Broadway and Bond streets, featuring two open-concept fitness floors, each with cardio, strength and stretch areas, where members can work out on their own or with one of Equinox’s highly skilled personal trainers. The club boasts a total of four studios, including the main group fitness studio, a yoga studio and a cycling studio equipped to offer The Pursuit by Equinox, a digital and highly competitive cycling experience. A Pilates studio will offer private Pilates sessions by expert instructors.

Equinox’s top group fitness talent will lead a full range of yoga, cycling and innovative group fitness class offerings, such as The Cut, The Pursuit by Equinox, MetCon3 and Pure Strength, Equinox’s newest team training class that brings more weight into the fitness studio than ever before.

A complete luxury experience, Equinox Bond St. will also offer The Spa at Equinox, with a full range of offerings to rejuvenate and pamper the body. The club will also be home to The Shop at Equinox, a Juice Press Café and a lounge space for members to gather.
