NEW YORK, N.Y. – Equinox, an upscale fitness and high-performance lifestyle leader, announced the launch of Furthermore. The new brand will launch with the debut of its eponymous online magazine focused on reframing and redirecting the fitness and luxury style content category.

“Today’s launch of Furthermore is a natural next step for Equinox,” says Sarah Robb O’Hagan, President of Equinox. “We are filling a huge void in the marketplace for marketers and advertisers who want to connect with an upscale, fitness-focused demographic in a high-end wellness environment.”

In 2011, Equinox launched Q blog, housed within Equinox.com. The evolution into Furthermore magazine, derived from readers’ desire to go further and want more, marks the brand’s move to a self-sustaining editorial and advertising publication. Furthermore unites Equinox’s industry-leading fitness and wellness experts with worldwide tastemakers in lifestyle, fashion, technology and travel. The publication collaborates with the world’s best directors, photographers and stylists to produce innovative photo and video content, all while employing a clean, modern aesthetic.

“Wellness is now at the center of the cultural conversation,” said editor-in-chief Liz Miersch. “Our online magazine, Furthermore, marks our commitment to offering the best combination of science-driven fitness content and lifestyle inspiration—from in-depth feature articles to elevated fitness videos to shoppable fashion stories.”

The Furthermore online magazine editorial team is comprised of industry veterans, led by Miersch, a former SELF magazine fitness editor who previously helmed the Q Blog, as well as writers whose work appears in Vogue, The New York Times, CondĂ© Nast Traveler, and Women’s Wear Daily.
