NEW YORK, N.Y. – Blink Fitness, a premium-quality, value-based fitness brand that focuses on how exercise makes you feel rather than exclusively focusing on how it makes you look, has signed a development deal to bring their concept to the Greater Boston Area. This announcement signals a much-anticipated entrance into the Massachusetts market.

Franchise veteran Steve Stabile will own and operate the first new Blink locations in Greater Boston. An active entrepreneur for nearly 30 years, Stabile first launched his own businesses – LocalTel Yellow Pages and Platinum Real Estate Investments – before entering the franchising world in 2005 with Fitness Together and Elements Massage. He opened the first franchise location for the massage concept and won numerous awards from the brand, including the Top Franchise of the Year, Area Director of the Year, and most recently, their first Legacy Award.

Stabile is eyeing a variety of potential locations for his first gym, with a primary focus on Middlesex and Essex counties.

“I am thrilled to combine my experience in franchising and passion for wellness with Blink’s proven systems and values,” noted Stabile. “Boston has long been deprived of a superior-quality gym at an affordable price. I’m excited to provide access to a facility that emphasizes the mood-boosting benefits exercise provides.”

Launched in 2011, Blink offers a truly unique experience to its members, based on a company philosophy of Mood Above Muscle™, which celebrates the positive feelings you get from exercise rather than just the physical benefits. Their Feel Good Experience® comes to life in each gym through a commitment to providing modern and colorful design, elevated customer service, relentless focus on cleanliness, energizing music and confidence-boosting training programs.

“We continue to find exceptional franchisees to build on our success and launch Blink in new markets,” said Todd Magazine, president of Blink Fitness. “We’re fortunate to have Steve join the team, as he not only has tremendous business and franchise experience, but he also shares our focus on providing the best possible member experience.”

Blink Fitness has opened nearly 60 corporate locations since its inception across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and has several additional franchise locations in various stages of development in major U.S. markets. According to Magazine, Blink will have approximately 70 locations open and operating by the end of the year, including the brand’s first locations in California. He also expects Blink to surpass the 300-unit mark over the next five years.
