24 Hour Fitness Celebrates East Coast Expansion – Opens Second Club in Maryland

GLENARDEN, MD – Beginning bright and early at 6:00 a.m. on December 20, 24 Hour Fitness will open its brand-new Glenarden Super-Sport club located at 9450 Ruby Lockhart Blvd. in Lanham, Md. The new club will be the second 24 Hour Fitness location in Maryland and will offer the Glenarden community more than 45,600 square feet of workout space and experiential programs.The community is invited to stop by the new club on grand opening day to enjoy an inaugural workout and festivities that include club tours, a photo booth, fitness-inspired video presentation as well as a wide range of group exercise classes featuring the hottest music hits.
In a gesture of community goodwill, 24 Hour Fitness has partnered with Good Sports to donate $16,000 of sports equipment to the Glenarden Boys & Girls Club. Organizational leadership and kids representing The Boys & Girls Club will participate in the grand opening event.
24 Hour Fitness has grown its East Coast presence in recent years and continues to demonstrate its investment in the market with the opening of the Glenarden Super-Sport. “We’re proud to add this club to our East Coast network, stated Chris Braden, Club Manager. “With the launch of new classes and group training in all clubs in the New Year, we’re eager to share the latest advances in health and fitness with the Glenarden community.
The new 45,684-square-foot gym will be open around the clock and will feature a wide variety of fitness equipment and amenities, as well as an array of membership options that will help members stay active and healthy throughout the holiday season and into the New Year. Features include:
