SAN DIEGO, CA – On May 19, the American Council on Exercise invite media and fitness professionals to an exclusive live conference about how fitness professionals can better support women’s health. Top industry experts, including Dr. Jan Shroeder of Long Beach State University and Farel Hruska of EoS Fitness, will share the unique physiological, biomechanical and behavioral aspects that go into coaching and training women. Fitness professionals who attend will leave with practical concepts that they can use immediately to level up their programming and coaching.

While more women than ever before are starting their health and fitness journeys—now accounting for 50% of fitness center members—fitness classes and resources are too often based on outdated misconceptions, such as women clients’ top reasons for exercising. Based on a 2022 MindBody report, people are exercising to feel better mentally, rather than control their weight, and the mental health of women was more affected by the pandemic than men.

Women deserve better. This live event will not only provide professionals with accurate, up-to-date information about the unique experiences of women and fitness but will empower professionals to create programs that can incorporate the unique physiological, biomechanical, and behavioral aspects of coaching and training for women.
