Planet Fitness Parkland Hosts Grand Opening

TIMONIUM, MD – Planet Fitness, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand—celebrated the grand opening of its Parkland club (9535 Westview Drive, Coral Springs, FL, 33076), Thursday, February 23, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Free and open to the community, the festivities included the following:
- Ribbon cutting with Mayor Scott J. Brooks and the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce;
- $1,000 check presentation to the Boys & Girls Club of Broward Countye;
- Giveaways and prizes including a 65” Smart TV, Amazon Echo Show, Apple watche;
- Special appearances by Stanley C. Panther (Florida Panthers mascot)e;
- Free workouts and 30-Minute Express Circuit classe;
- Virtual remote with Big 105.9 FM.
Open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Planet Fitness offers a hassle-free environment. The 19,703-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with lockers and showers and numerous flat screen televisions.
Its PF Black Card Spa Area features HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning and a RelaxSpace Wellness Pod—Planet Fitness’ first in the area—where Black Card members can relax, reset and focus on their mental health for up to 15 minutes. Members can select between a variety of videos, scents and even temperatures while learning more about diet, nutrition, breathing and the benefits of exercise. Plus, the Wellness Pod will track heart rate and encourage members to use breathing and meditation exercises to reduce anxiety levels, disconnect and recharge with a unique, multi-sensory experience.
Memberships, starting at $10/month for the Classic Card, include free fitness training led by a certified fitness trainer through the pe@pf program. The PF Black Card membership, $24.99/month, includes the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,400+ Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states, as well as access to massage beds, chairs and tanning, among other benefits. The Parkland club is Planet Fitness’ 27th in the area and OGP’s 9th in Florida. OGP’s portfolio includes eight clubs in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward counties: Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Delray Beach East, Hillsboro, Margate, North Miami Beach, Pompano and Tamarac.
