CR Fitness Holdings Acquires Crunch Ballantyne in North Carolina and Crunch Frisco in Texas, Growing the Franchise to 40 Locations

TAMPA, FL – CR Fitness, Crunch Fitness’ largest franchisee in the Southeast, announced the acquisition of Crunch Ballantyne in Charlotte, North Carolina and Crunch Frisco in Frisco, Texas. Crunch Ballantyne is a spacious 30,000 square foot gym, while Crunch Frisco is an amazing 38,000 square foot fitness facility. Both clubs offer premier state-of-the-art equipment and amenities and will be a great addition to CR Fitness’ portfolio and growth strategy to own and operate 100 clubs by the year 2026.
Fusing fitness with entertainment to make serious exercise fun, both clubs offer top-quality cardio and strength training equipment, a dedicated group fitness studio, red light therapy, childcare, cycling studio, saunas, spacious locker rooms, a wellness spa with hydrotherapy, tanning capsules and more.

CR Fitness currently owns and operates 40 locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas. The company is owned by Vince Julien, Geoff Dyer, Tony Scrimale and Jeff Dotson, who together have more than 100 years of experience in the fitness industry.
“CR Fitness has doubled in growth over the last three to four years and we are looking to build fifteen to twenty new clubs per year,” says Scrimale. “We are continuously searching for new opportunities to grow, and acquiring Crunch Ballantyne and Crunch Frisco is a prime example of our efforts.”
