SAN DIEGO, CA – The American Council on Exercise (ACE) has simplified and made more compelling its choices for those exploring investment in a certified personal trainer study program.

The configuration of the ACE Personal Trainer Study Program is now more straightforward, its presentation is easier to understand, and comparing options can now be done at a glance. The number of options to choose from is now two: Basic and Plus. One of those options, Basic, starts at a compellingly low price — $299. It is for those individuals who simply would not be able to access such a career opportunity otherwise. Importantly, those prices are set, so the ACE customer knows they will remain steady throughout purchase consideration. And either option can be had with or without a certification exam. ACE seeks to no longer force its customers to commit to a certification exam before they’re ready. Aspiring ACE Certified Personal Trainer can choose the option that best fits their aspiration, budget, and study timeline.

The repackaging also helps the customer by sparing them lists of gimmicky add-on “features” that add little value. The new Basic and Plus options include exactly what aspiring certified personal trainers care about and nothing they don’t.

“With simplified options for personal trainer study programs, we are making the shopping and comparison experience far easier,” said Cedric X. Bryant, Ph.D., FACSM, President and Chief Science Officer of the American Council on Exercise. “For those who feel called to help others get moving, we want to streamline the path to a respected credential and fulfilling line of work in service to a higher mission.”

Both study programs are, as always, grounded in the latest exercise science and prepare the future certified professional to deploy the ACE Integrative Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model, a systematic approach to designing exercise programs based on the unique abilities, needs and goals of the individual who seeks to get moving.

The ACE Personal Trainer Certification, in addition to all other offered certifications, is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the gold standard for assessing professional competence, and ensuring the health, welfare and safety of the public. Together, with a family of more than 80,000 ACE certified professionals, allies, partners and educators, ACE is committed to moving our communities toward a healthier and more active way of life.
