NEW YORK, N.Y. – As part of its ongoing partnership with HYROX, the World Series of Fitness Racing, Peloton has launched its first-ever HYROX Training Program, a comprehensive 12-week plan designed to prepare Members for HYROX. This launch marks an expansion of Peloton’s world-class Strength content and its commitment to broader wellness offerings, catering to the growing community of competitive fitness athletes and those looking to push their performance to the elite level.

Timed specifically for athletes preparing for HYROX NYC (May 28-31 and June 4-7) – which is on track to be the largest HYROX event in North American history – the program offers a roadmap from foundational aerobic building to race-day readiness. Led by a global team of Peloton Instructors, the programming features Robin Arzón and Andy Speer—both Certified HYROX Performance Coaches— alongside Adrian Williams, Alex Karwoski, Ash Pryor, Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Joslyn Thompson Rule and Logan Aldridge.

“HYROX demands grit, strategy, and relentless focus,” says Robin Arzón, Peloton Head Instructor & Vice President of Fitness Programming and Certified HYROX Performance Coach. “This program is built to forge both. You will train your engine. You will train your strength. And you will train your mind to stay sharp when fatigue hits. We are not just getting you through the race. We are building you to own it.”

The Peloton program is built on the principle that a strong engine is the priority, focusing on five key elements:

  • Aerobic Power: Threshold work begins on Day 1 to teach athletes how to manage effort and build sustainable high gears.
  • Simple Tools, High Impact: Utilizing the run, erg, and strength training to develop hybrid endurance.
  • Efficiency over Speed: Prioritizing smart pacing and clean technique to conserve energy during transitions.
  • Progressive Volume: Building the ability to work under cumulative fatigue through consistent, intentional loading.
  • Performance Drivers: Integrating recovery, fueling, and mindset as essential components of the training cycle.

A Program for Every Athlete

Whether a Member is a beginner looking to complete their first race or a seasoned athlete chasing a PR, the program is designed to meet them where they are. Beginners will focus on mechanics and technical proficiency with sled and wall-ball work before transitioning to race weights in the latter half of the program. More advanced athletes are encouraged to utilize HYROX race weights from Week 1, dialing in efficiency, cycle times, and fatigue management.

12 Weeks to the Finish Line

The program is a rigorous, seven-day-a-week commitment. The first half focuses on building the “aerobic engine” and establishing threshold control. By Week 7, athletes undergo a 75-minute simulation to test pacing and transition skills. The final weeks shift toward “real demand” training—simulating the specific carryover of heavy sled pushes and wall balls into the run—ensuring Members arrive at the starting line sharp, not tired. Week-by-week, Members can expect to progress towards their competition goals via a cross training approach with classes across Strength, Running, Rowing, Tread Bootcamps, Mobility/Stretching and Meditation.

Christian Toetzke, Co-Founder and CEO at HYROX said, “ HYROX was built to redefine fitness racing by creating a sport for everybody, and preparation is a critical part of that journey. Partnering with Peloton on this 12-week training program allows us to bring world-class coaching and structured race prep to athletes everywhere. Together, we’re making it easier than ever for people to step up to the start line confident, prepared, and ready to perform at their best.”

The Peloton x HYROX Training Program is available on the Peloton App and via Peloton hardware starting February 27. The Official HYROX Training Team on the Peloton App (found in the Community tab) will serve as a resource hub throughout the duration of the program and beyond where Members can engage with each other and with Instructors via conversation, challenges and more.
